"Lump" is a sidetable or a small bench, whichever you like. It started with this large ... well, lump ... of some or other wood lying around the workshop. I liked the termite holes, and thought ash would make a nice contrast, mainly because I had a small quantity I didn't know what to do with. I also wanted to do some wedged tenon joints. This might look even better with a box of high-gloss white to replace the lump. But then it wouldn't be a "lump" table any longer, would it?
